Welcome to the Val Marie Early Learning Centre.
Our small village and the surrounding farms and ranches are in the rural Southwest part of the province. We are 20 minutes form the Montana border and our town is considered the ‘gateway’ to Grasslands National Park. You can get more information using the town website www.valmarie.ca.
Our Early Learning Centre (ELC) is multi-age so we can accommodate infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children. During the school year, we also run a before & after school program. We are definitely smaller compared programs in larger areas, so on average during the day we have 4-8 children. This means our children are able to build meaningful, secure relationships with their teachers.
The ELC is housed in our local K – 12 school and we enjoy a close relationship with the admin, teachers, and support staff.
Our overarching goal is to provide an environment that empowers children to be curious, to experiment, and to think for themselves.
